About the Role:

The Senior Specialist, Learning Experience is a key member of the Human Resources Talent function and serves as the lead for the organization's learning strategy, programs, and experience. In partnership with the Head of Talent, this role is responsible for the full lifecycle of learning initiatives including needs assessment, program design, development, delivery, administration, and continuous improvement of enterprise wide learning programs, and provides consulting to teams to help them shape department-specific learning programs in a way that aligns to identified needs and priorities.

In collaboration with the Head of Talent, the Senior Specialist partners closely with HR, People Experience & Solutions, managers, and key stakeholders to align learning programs with organizational goals, initiatives, and priorities. The role continuously reviews, measures, and assesses the effectiveness of existing learning programs to ensure they meet business needs and provide a meaningful and engaging learner experience.

This role applies industry best practices and instructional design methodologies to create high quality learning experiences and related resources. A core responsibility includes managing the organization's skills inventory and creating actionable development plans and resources to address skill gaps, build capability, and improve overall staff performance. The Senior Specialist will facilitate and moderate instructor led learning sessions, and will leverage meaningful data, metrics, and learner feedback to evaluate program effectiveness and shape future offerings. This role also owns the company's compliance training program and ensures compliance with all required organizational and regulatory training. The position is responsible for creating a consistent, efficient, and positive experience for employees participating in annual and recurring training assignments.

Additionally, this role serves as the primary owner and subject matter expert for the Learning Management System (LMS) and learning experience platforms. The Senior Specialist leads all LMS related initiatives, including setup, configuration, administration, and the implementation of new learning solutions or courses. The role proactively identifies opportunities to optimize system capabilities, integrate the LMS with other platforms, and enhance how the organization leverages technology to support learning and development.

Currently, this is a remote-first position, and this position may be required to periodically work on-site at our office and the frequency would depend on the department/division's requirements. Therefore, candidates must reside within a reasonable distance to commute to our office when required.


How You Contribute:

  • Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to identify learning needs, align initiatives with organizational goals and priorities, and design learning programs that drive performance, capability building, and organizational growth, and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Design and develop high quality learning content and programs using adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, accessibility standards, and effective visual communication.
  • Lead the end to end development of learning initiatives, including needs assessment, program design, content creation, implementation planning, and post program evaluation.
  • Maintain an engaging new employee orientation programs and related resources that enhance new hire ramp up.
  • Maintain and apply an organization wide skills inventory and learning action plan to identify capability gaps, recommend development opportunities, support workforce planning, and design solutions.
  • Collaborate with management to create department-specific learning paths for skill-development needs.
  • Facilitate and moderate instructor led learning sessions in a clear, engaging, and professional manner, managing all associated logistics, communications, and follow up activities.
  • Lead and manage enterprise wide learning programs, including annual training and policy recertification, annual OWASP training, monthly cybersecurity training, and mandatory new hire learning assignments.
  • Maintain accurate employee learning records and ensure timely assignment, completion, and tracking of required compliance training.
  • Stay current with federal and state compliance training requirements and ensure organizational alignment with regulatory expectations.
  • Serve as the primary administrator, subject matter expert, and owner of the Learning Management System (LMS) and learning experience platforms (LXP), managing courses, learning plans, enrollments, reporting, assets, and system configurations.
  • Configure, test, and roll out new LMS/LXP features and enhancements, identifying opportunities to optimize system usage and integrate the platforms with other enterprise tools.
  • Troubleshoot LMS/LXP technical issues, collaborate with vendors or IT, and ensure system performance supports organizational learning needs.
  • Analyze learning effectiveness using evaluation data, surveys, usage analytics, and performance metrics; provide actionable recommendations to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Implement refinements to content, delivery methods, systems, and processes based on data, learner feedback, and emerging trends.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve learning processes, and enhance the learner experience across all programs.
  • Stay current with emerging learning technologies, instructional methodologies, and industry best practices; recommend and test new tools, approaches, and innovations.
  • Partner closely with HR, People Experience & Solutions, managers, and project teams to ensure learning programs align with business initiatives and organizational priorities.
  • Serve as a mentor and coach to junior team members and employees, providing guidance on learning design, facilitation techniques, LMS usage, and professional development.
  • Partner with the Talent and Recruiting teams to ensure alignment between learning strategy, talent strategy, and workforce capability needs; provide surge support during peak hiring periods or key initiatives as needed.
  • Actively pursue professional development opportunities and stay informed on trends that support continuous growth and effectiveness in the learning field.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelors degree In Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences, Humanities, or any other related field. A combination of education and experience including military service will also be considered.
  • 6 yearsof progressively responsible human resources experience with a primary focus on learning and development, organization development, and learning experience management.
  • Advanced proficiency and demonstrated experience administering Learning Management Systems (preferably Docebo Learn) and Learning Experience Platforms (preferably LinkedIn Learning and Viva Learning), including configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Demonstrated deep knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning experience design, with the ability to apply recognized frameworks (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to develop effective learning solutions.
  • Strong visual and instructional design skills with hands on experience using e learning authoring tools, screen recording and video editing software, and virtual facilitation platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
  • Proven experience designing, developing, delivering, administering, and managing comprehensive learning programs that align with business needs and support diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with skills frameworks, conducting skills gap analyses, and performing learning needs assessments to inform program design and workforce development initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and visualize learning data and performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and make data driven recommendations.
  • Strong judgment, critical thinking, and problem solving abilities, with high attention to detail and the capability to make sound, fact based decisions.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, coordinate stakeholders, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.

  • Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design & Technology, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Learning Sciences, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications in active status (e.g., CPTD, APTD, SHRM CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, Docebo Pro, ATD Instructional Design Certificate, Prosci Change Management).
  • Certification in DiSC or similar behavioral/style assessment methodologies (e.g., MBTI, CliftonStrengths, Predictive Index).
  • Advanced proficiency using eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Vyond) and multimedia design tools.
  • Experience leveraging Power Automate, SharePoint Designer, or AI tools to streamline workflows and automate HR or L&D processes.
  • Prior experience supporting the design and integration of onboarding programs, learning pathways, and development strategies with talent strategy.
  • Demonstrated success implementing, optimizing, or migrating enterprise LMS/LXP platforms (e.g., Docebo, Cornerstone, Workday Learning, LinkedIn Learning, Viva Learning).
  • Experience developing learning pathways, capability frameworks, or career development programs to support workforce planning and talent mobility.
  • Familiarity with evaluation models such as Kirkpatrick or Phillips ROI, including the ability to measure and communicate return on learning investment.
  • Experience applying performance consulting approaches to diagnose business challenges and recommend learning or non learning solutions.
  • Experience designing or supporting large scale learning initiatives such as leadership development programs, culture initiatives, or DEI aligned learning.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for generating insight driven learning dashboards and analytics.
  • Experience creating blended learning ecosystems that incorporate microlearning, cohort based learning, virtual instructor led training, and self paced modules.

Additionally, we reasonably believe that the salary range for this position is between $100,000 - $110,000.
