Description
Altamira Technologies is seeking a Systems Operator to join our growing team in Centennial, CO. The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day mission support of the program's expansion efforts to provide an eventual 24x7-staffed operational awareness and support capability. Current expectations will be to provide support during day-shift hours. Long term support may include transition to shift work which could include nights and weekends.
Requirements
  • Current TS/SCI clearance, willing to take CI Poly
  • Bachelor's degree (years of experience can be used to offset degree)
  • CompTIA Security+ Certified (or equivalent), or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date
  • Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments
  • High-level understanding of network topologies
  • Attention to detail and ability to execute regular Standard Operating Procedures
  • Good communication skills with an open and honest character
  • Experience monitoring and/or building dashboards to understand current system state
Job Responsibilities
  • Brief internal personnel and external customers on operational status
  • Front-line triage for system anomalies utilizing checklists and SOPs
  • Monitor phones, email distros to address stakeholder concerns and system issues
  • Review and document system application logs for tier II / III corrective actions
  • Prepare system status updates for daily standups, monthly metric reporting and other briefings as required
  • Documenting discovered bugs in Jira for future resolution
  • Be self-motivated, a creative problem solver, and able to work in environments with plenty of unknowns
Desired Skills
  • Experience with Kibana or similar observability tool suites (Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus)
  • Experience in scripting languages (BASH, shell, Python)
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps concepts
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience with Kubernetes environments
  • Experience reading software log files to include understanding how to read a Java stacktrace
  • Ability to contribute updates to CONOPs, SOPs, and other documentation critical to above job responsibilities
