About this Opportunity:

At Regency Centers, our people are our greatest asset, and we believe that our highly skilled and talented team makes us better. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our corporate office located in Jacksonville. This is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely after the training period. We are seeking a technical authority who will design, build, and maintain the data pipelines and integrations that power enterprise reporting, analytics, and application workflows. In this role, you'll ensure the reliable flow of data across systems by leveraging tools such as Azure Data Factory, SQL, Logic Apps, and automation technologies. This person will bring deep expertise in data engineering to support enterprise intelligence needs while helping ensure data operations are secure, scalable, and efficient across the organization. By enabling consistent, high-quality data movement and transformation, this role plays a key part in strengthening the foundation of Regency's data and integration ecosystem.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and dataflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF), including linked services, datasets, integration runtimes (Azure IR and Self-Hosted IR), and mapping data flows.

  • Build and support ingestion and transformation workflows across SQL, REST endpoints, SFTP sources, and other internal/external systems.

  • Optimize pipeline performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across environments.

  • Develop SQL-based data transformation logic, stored procedures, and performance-tuned queries to support analytics, operational reporting, and downstream system integrations.

  • Collaborate with Application Development, Cloud Engineering, and Data Platform teams to ensure scalable, secure data architectures.

  • Support Azure Lakehouse or warehouse environments as needed for ingestion, curation, and consumption patterns.

  • Leverage Logic Apps, ADF triggers, and automation scripts to orchestrate end-to-end workflows.

  • Monitor pipeline runs, troubleshoot failures, tune integration workloads, and ensure data quality and reliability.

  • Improve alerting, observability, and operational rigor via Azure-native tools.

  • Support reporting needs using Power BI, including dataset preparation and integration with curated data assets.

  • Partner with business teams to understand data requirements, support reporting use cases, and contribute to semantic model design.

  • Experience building and supporting production data pipelines in Azure environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, including query optimization and complex stored procedures.
  • Experience with Power BI, including data modeling and dataset development.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, networking fundamentals, and API integrations (including RESTful APIs).
  • Experience with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Data Lake/Lakehouse architectures.
