Job Summary B&A is seeking a SAP Data Migration Consultant FI & SCM - Technical Senior Consultant to support a federal government client operating within a classified Red Network environment. This role is responsible for the design, development, and execution of end-to-end SAP data migration solutions covering Finance (FI) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) data domains, operating under the strict data handling, transfer authorization, and validation protocols required within a classified operating environment. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced SAP data migration practitioner with deep technical expertise across SAP-native migration toolsets and ABAP development, direct hands-on experience with FI and SCM data objects, and - critically - demonstrated prior experience executing data migrations within an air-gapped or classified Red Network environment where standard data movement procedures do not apply. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute end-to-end SAP data migration solutions for Finance (FI) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) data objects within a classified Red Network environment, operating under strict data handling, transfer, and validation protocols
- Lead data migration workstream activities including legacy data analysis, data mapping, transformation rule development, migration object build, mock migration execution, reconciliation, and cutover planning
- Develop and maintain data migration programs using SAP-native migration toolsets including SAP Data Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM), SAP LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench), and custom ABAP migration programs (BDC, BAPI, direct input methods)
- Perform detailed analysis of legacy FI and SCM source data including general ledger balances, open items (AR/AP), asset master and values, material master records, inventory balances, open purchase orders, and open sales orders to define extraction, cleansing, and transformation requirements
- Design and implement data cleansing, deduplication, and transformation logic to ensure source data meets SAP target structure requirements and federal data quality standards prior to load execution
- Define and execute data validation frameworks including pre-load validation rules, post-load reconciliation checks, balance verification, and exception reporting to ensure migration completeness and accuracy
- Coordinate data transfer activities across the Red Network boundary in strict compliance with classified data handling procedures, cross-domain solution (CDS) protocols, and agency-approved data movement authorization processes
- Collaborate with FI and SCM functional consultants, enterprise architects, and federal IT security personnel to align migration designs with system configuration, authorization concepts, and classified environment constraints
- Develop and maintain data migration documentation including migration strategy documents, object specifications, mapping workbooks, test results, reconciliation reports, and cutover runbooks
- Support mock migration cycles, dress rehearsal runs, and production cutover execution, providing real-time reconciliation analysis and issue resolution within the constraints of the classified operating environment
Education and Experience
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in SAP data migration design and execution with demonstrated expertise in FI and SCM/MM data objects across full migration lifecycles including mock runs, dress rehearsals, and production cutover
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience executing SAP data migrations within air-gapped, classified, or Red Network environments with direct familiarity with cross-domain solution (CDS) data transfer protocols and classified data handling procedures
- Demonstrated proficiency in SAP data migration toolsets including LTMC/LTMOM, LSMW, BAPI-based mass upload programs, BDC techniques, and custom ABAP migration program development
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Required Skills
- Deep technical expertise in SAP data migration tools and techniques including SAP Data Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM), LSMW, BAPI-based mass upload programs, BDC (Batch Data Communication), and direct input methods
- Hands-on experience migrating SAP Finance (FI) data objects including general ledger open items and balances, accounts receivable and payable open items, asset master data and legacy asset values (AS91), cost center and profit center master data, and FI document history
- Hands-on experience migrating SAP SCM/MM data objects including material master records, vendor and customer master data, inventory balances (MB1C), open purchase orders, open sales orders, and stock/valuated material data
- Strong ABAP development skills as applied to data migration including custom extraction programs, transformation routines, error handling logic, and reconciliation reporting
- Demonstrated experience operating within air-gapped, classified, or Red Network environments including strict adherence to data handling procedures, cross-domain solution (CDS) transfer protocols, and classified data movement authorization processes
- Experience designing and executing data validation frameworks including pre-load rule sets, post-load reconciliation checks, balance verification, and exception management
- Strong understanding of SAP data models and interdependencies across FI and SCM modules as they impact migration sequencing, object dependencies, and cutover execution order
- Ability to produce precise and audit-ready migration documentation including mapping workbooks, reconciliation reports, test results, and cutover runbooks required in federal program environments
- Experience working within federal or classified IT environments with adherence to strict data classification, change management, and cybersecurity compliance protocols
Desired Skills
- SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP or SAP Certified Application Associate in SAP S/4HANA Finance or Supply Chain, complementing hands-on data migration expertise
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration-specific toolsets including SAP Readiness Check, Transformation Navigator, and the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit for transition project scenarios
- Familiarity with SAP Data Services (BODS) or SAP Information Steward for data quality profiling, cleansing rule development, and ETL-based migration approaches
- Prior experience executing data migrations within DOE, DOD, or other federal agency classified (Red) network environments, with direct familiarity with agency-specific cross-domain data transfer approval workflows
- Knowledge of federal financial management data standards including USSGL chart of accounts structures, Treasury symbol formats, and agency-specific FI master data governance requirements
- Experience supporting Agile or SAFe delivery methodologies within federal IT data migration programs
Security Clearance
- Active Top Secret (TS) or DOE Q clearance is required; eligibility for SCI access may be required depending on program assignment
