To learn more about playing for Team Amcor, visitwww.amcor.comILinkedInIGlassdoorIFacebook IYouTube Job DescriptionAccounting Analyst Reports To: Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting Role Summary The Accounting Analyst supports the Corporate Accounting function in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial information. The role performs core accounting activities such as journal entry preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and audit support. The Accounting Analyst ensures adherence to US GAAP, internal controls, and corporate accounting policies. The position works closely with Business Group (BG) Finance teams, Corporate functions, and external auditors. Key Responsibilities Financial Close & Accounting Operations Prepare journal entries and assist with monthend and quarterend close activities. Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts. Perform variance analysis and investigate unusual movements. Compliance & Controls Support compliance with US GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and reporting requirements. Execute SOX control activities such as documentation, testing support, and audit evidence preparation. Identify potential control issues and escalate appropriately. Audit Support Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external and internal auditors. Respond to auditor queries in a timely and accurate manner. Support remediation of audit findings. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and BG Finance teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment. Assist in smallerscale projects involving reorganizations, system updates, or accounting process improvements. Process Improvement & Systems Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, or automation in accounting activities. Contribute to system and data integrity enhancements (ERP, HFM, etc.). Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Corporate Accounting and Shared Service function. Knowledge & experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Progress toward a professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, etc.) preferred Experience in accounting or external audit Working knowledge of US GAAP and accounting fundamentals Experience with ERP systems and basic reporting tools (SAP, Oracle, HFM, Power BI) Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines Experience in multinational or multientity environments is a plus #LI-Onsite #LI-VA1 OurExpectationsWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
