Job Summary

The Inside Sales & Warehouse Specialist is a hybrid role combining inside sales, customer support, and hands-on warehouse operations. This position is critical to ensuring customers receive fast, accurate solutions-both from a sales and fulfillment perspective.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both at a desk and in the warehouse. This role supports revenue growth, order accuracy, inventory integrity, and overall branch efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Inside Sales & Customer Support



  • Answer inbound customer calls and emails, assist with product selection, and provide pricing and availability.
  • Generate quotes, follow up on customer inquiries, and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding applications and recommending solutions.
  • Partner with outside sales representatives and product specialists as needed.
  • Enter orders accurately and manage them through fulfillment.


Product Knowledge & Solutions



  • Develop working knowledge of bearings, seals, belts, power transmission, and conveying systems.
  • Pull correct part numbers and assist customers with product identification and substitutions.
  • Stay informed on product lines, industry trends, and customer needs.


Warehouse & Inventory Operations



  • Pull, stage, assemble, and package customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Receive, sort, and store inventory according to product code, size, and type.
  • Read and interpret pick tickets, work orders, shipping documents, and customer orders.
  • Weigh, count, label, and record inventory transactions using computer systems.
  • Assist with inventory counts and general warehouse organization.
  • Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment as required.
  • Transport materials within the warehouse or between locations as needed.


Administrative & System Support



  • Enter and maintain accurate records in inventory and order management systems.
  • Compile worksheets or tickets based on customer specifications.
  • Use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) for basic reporting and communication.


Qualifications

Experience



  • 1-3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, warehouse operations, or industrial distribution preferred
  • Experience in bearings, power transmission, or industrial products is a plus


Skills & Abilities



  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn technical products
  • Ability to multitask between sales and hands-on warehouse responsibilities
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and Microsoft Office
  • Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to obtain certification)
