The Continuous Improvement owns and directs the site's CI strategy by autonomously identifying, selecting, and prioritizing high-impact projects that drive Industrial Operations targets. Operating as the central functional authority, this role provides strategic guidance to stakeholders across the organization while fostering deep cross-functional collaboration with both internal and external departments.
Beyond maintaining operational records, the CI governs the alignment of best practices and internally-defined KPIs as the primary liaison for the Leonardo Helicopters CI team across the geographics. As a driving force within the Digital Transformation team, the CI steers the company's digital evolution and utilizes advanced performance indicators to validate organizational impact. Acting as a strategic advisor to the leadership team, the CI ensures seamless change transitions and delivers critical performance insights and results directly to Top Management.
They will primarily be responsible to:
- Directs the implementation of the Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy within Industrial Operations:
- Governs the continuous-improvement initiatives; defines and approves the project parameters and scope;
- Identifies strategic areas of improvement and executes a deployment plan for the continuous-improvement program;
- Governs the plan's follow-up; evaluates the financial and operational performance of the improvements; ensures processes are in compliance with standards, and regulations, including Corporate directives.
- Drives the optimization of policies, procedures, and processes:
- Autonomously identifies opportunities for improvement and defines critical issues;
- Determines organizational objectives and success metrics;
- Benchmarks current procedures and establishes baseline performance measures;
- Designs and implements optimal solutions; measures observed improvements; validates strategic documents and reports.
- Coordinate the continuous-improvement program for the plant:
- Determines and defines continuous-improvement needs for the plant;
- Identifies and assigns functional team members and the role of each person; plans all tactical activities;
- Defines and monitors site-level KPIs; determines corrective measures; directs the project implementation and performs full lifecycle follow-up
- Advises and assists personnel:
- Directs the management of changes; proposes and architected solutions to achieve executive objectives;
- Facilitates the implementation of complex continuous-improvement projects;
- Acts as a strategic consultant to employees and the management team;
- Designs and provides specialized training to build a CI culture.
- Steers the Digital Transformation activities:
- Represents the site in Digital Transformation meetings across Geographies;
- Orchestrates collaboration with other plants in digital improvements and best-practice sharing;
- Manages and presents Digital improvement results and roadmaps to all stakeholders and Top Management.
- Represents the Plant CI Function within the Global Organization:
- Acts as the primary CI representative for the plant, collaborating with other facilities across geographies to align best practices;
- Harmonizes site-level CI methodologies with global group standards to ensure cross-geographical consistency;
- Leads benchmarking activities with other plants to drive continuous excellence and knowledge sharing.

- Qualifications for Position:
A. Education
Bachelor's degree in related field. In the absence of a degree, 5 years of relevant experience is required. |
B. Experience
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Industrial Operations, with a proven track record of leading site-wide organizational transformations. Proven experience in the aerospace industry, with advanced Work Analysis expertise to manage and optimize complex shop floor performance systems. Experience in independently identifying and managing high-budget projects with a direct impact on the plant's P&L. |
