Placement Type: N/A Salary: $45-49 Hourly Start Date: Jun 15, 2026 The Life/Disability Financial Underwriter, supporting a healthcare client of Aquent, prepares offers for prospective and renewal clients in the small and mid-market group segments, specifically focusing on Life, Short-Term, and Long-Term Disability opportunities. This role involves performing detailed risk selection and financial analysis while providing appropriate rationale and support to Sales, clients, and internal teams regarding rate computations and financial activity. Responsibilities include providing expense estimates and accurate analysis of financial exhibits while maintaining a deep understanding of departmental strategy and organizational operating objectives. Operating with minimal direction, this individual makes decisions regarding their own work methods and technical approaches, even in ambiguous situations. Beyond tactical underwriting, the role ensures all assignments follow established guidelines and procedures while maintaining high performance and accountability in a remote work environment. Final deliverables must reflect a comprehensive understanding of risk pool management and the competitor landscape to support the organization's broader financial and consumer experience goals. The target hiring compensation range for this role is $45 to $49 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
