The contractor shall provide IT Infrastructure support services, which include Tier 1 Help Desk, Tier 2 End User Support, Tier 3 Server, Platform, and Network Infrastructure Support and Engineering. Services shall include, but are not limited to, technical assistance for hardware, software, and network issues; incident and problem resolution; service request management; infrastructure monitoring and support; hardware and software lifecycle support; and management of escalation across all tiers.

Position Description: The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the NCUA's IT infrastructure, ensuring the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of all systems. This role includes overseeing the deployment, configuration, and support of

various systems, including servers, applications, and associated technologies. The Senior

Systems Administrator will collaborate with other IT teams to support various projects and

initiatives, provide technical expertise and ensure that IT systems are effectively integrated

into the organization's strategic objectives. This position is considered Key Personnel.

Systems Administrator will collaborate with other IT teams to support various projects and

initiatives, provide technical expertise and ensure that IT systems are effectively integrated

into the organization's strategic objectives. This position is considered Key Personnel.

The Senior Systems Administrator shall be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:

* Managing, maintaining, and coordinating NCUA's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and applications.

* Overseeing the deployment, configuration, and support of IT systems to ensure optimal performance and security, leveraging vSphere, cloud service providers, appliances, and other technologies.

* Managing Microsoft Servers and Azure Cloud Services across multiple availability zones and physical locations.

* Performing regular updates, backups, and troubleshooting to maintain system integrity and availability.

* Delivering unified role-based access across NCUA's IT services.

* Collaborating with other IT teams to support various projects and initiatives, providing technical expertise.

* Developing and implementing IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

* Participating in security and compliance assessments and audits.

* Continuously researching and evaluating new technologies and trends to recommend improvements and innovations.

* Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior staff, helping to develop their skills and knowledge.

* Ensuring the IT infrastructure is scalable, secure, and efficient, supporting both current and future needs.

* Developing and maintaining documentation for system configurations and procedures.

* Implementing and managing security measures to protect the IT infrastructure.

* Monitoring system performance and addressing any issues that arise.

* Overseeing the development of infrastructure-as-code automation for PIOps.

* Participating in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure system resilience.

* Acting as a consultant to the organization by researching and staying current on emerging trends, risks, and best practices.

* Managing and maintaining M365 Conditional Access policies.

Required Skills:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

* A minimum of five (5) years of experience leading IT systems administration, including experience leading or overseeing enterprise-level infrastructure.

* Demonstrated expertise in the following tools and technologies:

o PowerShell (e.g., Windows Server administration, Intune, Entra ID, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies).

o Systems monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., performance monitoring, event logs, and alerting).

o Cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform).

o Scripting for automation (e.g., Python).

o Terraform (e.g., infrastructure as code to provision and manage cloud resources).

o Azure DevOps.

o Azure DevSecOps.
