The estimated base salary range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 per year.
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors

EHS Specialist

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide day-to-day EHS support to the plant and EHS Manager, ensuring compliance and safe operations
  • Deliver guidance and direction on EHS programs at the employee and supervisor level
  • Promote and sustain a strong safety culture across the facility
  • Support and maintain environmental and safety compliance programs
  • Complete and manage regulatory reporting and documentation (local, state, federal)
  • Maintain accurate recordkeeping and audit-ready documentation systems
  • Identify and implement improvements in plant safety systems and processes
  • Lead or support safety improvement initiatives, both independently and within teams
  • Maintain and update internal EHS tracking systems and metrics
  • Participate in and support safety committees and engagement initiatives
  • Assist with incident investigations and recommend corrective actions
  • Support development and updates of EHS policies and procedures
  • Provide EHS technical support for plant projects and initiatives
  • Ensure contractor compliance with safety and environmental standards
  • Deliver and support new hire safety orientation and ongoing training programs
  • Partner with HR, Engineering, and Operations to improve EHS systems
  • Interface with corporate EHS teams and regulatory agencies
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce and prevent safety and environmental incidents

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental, or related field
  • 3-5 years of EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Basic knowledge of:
    • Environmental and safety regulations
  • Experience with:
    • EHS compliance programs
    • Incident investigations and corrective actions
    • Safety training and program support
  • Proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience maintaining:
    • EHS documentation and tracking systems
