What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response support at a utilities location.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, gates, and restricted areas, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and support controlled access procedures for personnel, vehicles, and deliveries.
• Assist with incident reporting, radio communications, and coordination during weather events, service disruptions, and/or other site emergencies while following Allied Universal and client-directed protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
