As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Detail in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver professional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public education location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate with school personnel, first responders, and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items, and document observations, incidents, and actions taken in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Support school-related operations during arrivals, dismissals, special events, and/or after-hours activities by maintaining a visible presence and following established protocols for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
