As a Security Officer Active Patrol in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents while working as part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity, with a people-first approach in every interaction.

Pay Rate: $23.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to guests, team members, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and entertainment location, including entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter zones, to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor high-traffic public areas and help support orderly access, crowd flow, and/or closing procedures while maintaining a professional presence.
• Assist with reporting hazards, disturbances, and/or policy violations, and help to deter unwanted activity through visible patrols and attentive observation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
