Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a VP of Strategy to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to serve as a trusted advisor to Acentra Health's executive team driving strategy development and execution and value realization. This individual is responsible for shaping, refining, and driving enterprise strategy to accelerate valuation creation. This role partners closely with the CEO, executive team, and Board to translate investment thesis into executable strategic initiatives that dive revenue growth, margin expansion, operational

excellence, and long-term enterprise value. This leader combines rigorous strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring that strategic priorities are aligned to financial targets, operational plans, and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Strategy & Value Creation - Lead development and refresh of Acentra Health's enterprise strategy. Translate value creation plan (VCP) into actionable strategic initiatives. Identify growth levers (organic, inorganic, pricing, product, market expansion). Conduct market, competitive, and financial analysis to inform strategic decisions
  • Strategic Planning and Execution - Lead the development and execution of Acentra Health's strategic planning process (strategy development, strategy execution including transformation, multi-year operating plan. Ensure alignment between strategy, operating plan, and capital allocation. Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives. Build execution governance (KPIs, dashboards, cadence, risk tracking). Remove barriers to execution and accelerate decision making
  • M&A and Portfolio Optimization - Working with our GovCorp team, support the definition and execution of acquisition strategy. Lead components of strategic diligence. Develop integration theses and synergy capture frameworks. Identify divestiture and portfolio rationalization opportunities, as applicable
  • Board and Investor Engagement - Prepare strategic materials for Board meetings and investor updates. Provide data-driven insights on performance against value creation targets. Partner with PE sponsors on strategic scenario modeling and exit planning
  • Organizational Alignment & Change Leadership - Cascade strategy into clear priorities at the business unit and functional levels. Align leadership incentives and performance metrics to strategic outcomes. Drive a performance-oriented, data-driven culture. Lead enterprise transformation efforts where required.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in strategy, consulting, or senior operating roles
  • Proven track record leading enterprise-level strategy and transformation
  • Experience in a private equity-backed environment strongly preferred
  • Strong financial acumen (deep understanding of EBITDA drivers, cash flow, ROI)
  • Demonstrated experience successfully working with executive leadership teams
  • Experience working directly with Boards and investors
  • Strategic thinking with strong execution discipline
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
  • Passionate about enabling sustainable enterprise change, challenging the status quo, and imagining the art of the possible.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or related advanced degree preferred

Experience in Lieu of Degree

For non-clinical roles, or when not required by the contract specifically, the Company acknowledges that practical, hands-on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree may be required, the Company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidate has an Associate's degree, the Company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.
