What to Expect
Tesla is looking for a highly motivated Supervisor to lead our Gigafactory Nevada factory Spare Parts Program. We are seeking a high performing leader to coach and direct the performance of a Spares Operations team. The role will lead a team of technicians who are responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate inventory levels of the manufacturing spare parts warehouses and inventory control systems.
What You'll Do
- Drive for operations excellence: optimization of stocked MRO, value optimization (kitting, RMA, etc.), warehouse optimization, 5S, etc.
- Coaching and guiding the career development and talent pipeline for a team with diverse skills, experiences, and capabilities, and sustaining & growing that with sincere engagement
- Coordinate with planning functions to provide world class service to factory operations
- Tesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams' safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations
- Manage escalation protocols
- All other activities as assigned
What You'll Bring
- Degree in STEM or relevant field, experience in scale manufacturing, supply chain, purchasing, maintenance, or spare parts management, or equivalent experience
- Track record of excellence in current and prior roles, demonstrable with metrics or KPIs
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, presentation, summarization, etc.
- Exemplary people, organizational, project management, and escalation skills
- Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs., qualification & capability to use powered industrial vehicles
- Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Focus: Responsibilities include ensuring team safety training, documenting EHS incidents, proactively identifying workplace hazards, and empowering teams towards continuous operational improvements
