ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processes orders in an accurate and timely manner.
- Answers the telephone and call lights appropriately and provides information or relays messages to patients and staff.
- Directs visitors to the room of the patient.
- Maintains medical records of current patients.
- Processes patient charges and orders supplies as needed.
- Floats to various units based on identified need.
- Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Completion of Unit clerk course or equivalent on the job training. CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE Approved CPR or BLS certification within 90 days. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Works well in group problem solving situations; Remains calm when dealing with emotional topics.

$16.02 - $25.63
