Ellumen is seeking an experienced Audio Visual (AV) Specialist to support the G-6 Information Technology Directorate at the United States Army Fires Center of Excellence located at Fort Sill, OK. In this role, you will provide installation, sustainment, and troubleshooting support for classroom audiovisual systems across a large-scale Army training environment supporting more than 400 classrooms and learning spaces.

The AV Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring reliable audiovisual capabilities for military training, conferences, and leadership events, supporting the Army's mission to train and develop Fires leaders for Joint and multinational operations.

Key Responsibilities


  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot audiovisual and classroom technology systems across training facilities.
  • Support operation of projectors, audio systems, displays, mixers, microphones, and video teleconferencing systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and sustainment of AV systems to ensure maximum uptime for training environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve AV equipment issues, including cabling, signal flow, control systems, and integrated IT components.
  • Support ceremonies, conferences, and senior leadership events requiring audiovisual or video teleconference support.
  • Utilize enterprise ticketing or work-order systems to track incidents, document work performed, and report system status.
  • Interpret signal-flow diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams for installation and troubleshooting.
  • Work collaboratively with IT staff, instructors, and leadership to ensure classroom technology readiness.
  • Maintain compliance with Army cybersecurity and operational standards when supporting integrated IT/AV systems.



Required Qualifications


  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Associate degree in a related field OR 3+ years of technical experience providing audiovisual support.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • InfoComm International Certification in Audiovisual Technology (must remain current during employment).
  • Ability to obtain basic training in Crestron, AMX, Biamp, and Extron systems within 120 days of contract award.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of AV equipment configuration, signal routing, and operational settings.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights up to 20 feet when installing or servicing equipment.



Desired Qualifications


  • InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist - Installation (CTS-I) certification.
  • Experience supporting military training environments, classrooms, or large-scale AV operations.
  • Experience using AESMP, SharePoint ticketing systems, or enterprise service management platforms.
  • Experience supporting live events, executive briefings, or video teleconferencing environments.
  • Ability to interpret AV schematics, troubleshoot wiring systems, and support integrated AV/IT platforms.
