Concierge - JLL

What this job involves:

We are seeking a professional Concierge to serve as the welcoming face of our client's world headquarters in Reston, Virginia. This role is critical in creating exceptional first impressions while maintaining facility security and supporting day-to-day operations. As a Concierge, you'll manage visitor registration, provide outstanding customer service, and ensure seamless coordination between guests, staff, and building services. Your expertise in local knowledge combined with exceptional organizational skills will contribute to a professional, secure, and hospitable environment that reflects our client's commitment to excellence.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Greet and check in all guests and visitors, creating and issuing photo ID and access control badges through the Visitor Registration System to ensure building security.

Answer incoming phone calls professionally and transfer them to appropriate departments while providing general administrative support as needed.

Make conference room reservations and submit building maintenance tickets, coordinating with relevant teams to address facility needs promptly.

Partner with the Conference Services team to assist with receptions, events, and guest escort services throughout the facility.

Maintain the ambiance, style, and cleanliness of the Concierge Desk, ensuring all brochures, literature, and materials are properly stocked and organized.

Correspond with guests requiring follow-up or solutions, providing information on local businesses, entertainment venues, and travel options.

Participate in and successfully complete all training programs while adapting to flexible work hours within core building hours of Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Required Qualifications:

* 3+ years of receptionist and/or hospitality experience in a professional setting.

* High School diploma or equivalent education.

* Proven ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities.

* Excellent customer service skills with a pleasant phone manner and professional communication abilities, both in person and in writing.

* Strong organizational skills with a positive, problem-solving attitude and ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

* Proficiency with desktop computing platforms (PC) and applications including MS Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.

* Flexibility regarding work start and end times, with ability to adhere to dress code and appearance policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Associate's degree or college coursework in hospitality, business administration, or related field.

* Professional experience working in an administrative role in a very busy front desk setting.

* In-depth knowledge of local Reston/Northern Virginia businesses, entertainment venues, and travel options.

* Experience with visitor management systems and access control badge creation processes.

* Previous experience supporting corporate events or working with conference services teams.

Location: Reston, Virginia

Work Shift: Monday-Friday, core building hours 7:00 am - 6:00 pm (flexible scheduling required)

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
