Job Summary

The Director of Partnership Sales works closely with the departments, Vice President and entire AEG Global Partnerships structure/resources to generate and close sponsorship sales for the LA Galaxy & Dignity Health Sports Park in addition to other AEG properties. This position is responsible for seeing a sponsorship sale through completion which includes outbound outreach, developing pitches, negotiating deal points, addressing client concerns, and finding creative solutions to partner assigned properties with brands. The Director of Sponsorship Sales will effectively set sales goals and ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual goals are met by employing various sales techniques, creating and maintaining new business relationships.

The LA Galaxy is a premier MLS soccer club representing the greater Southern California market. As one of MLS's most successful and historic franchises, the Galaxy are committed to operating a world-class organization that reflects the diversity and global influence of Southern California while delivering exceptional experiences for fans, partners, and the community. The club competes at Dignity Health Sports Park, a 27,000-seat stadium in Carson, CA, and trains at state-of-the-art facilities that support elite performance and player development. Backed by experienced leadership across sports, entertainment, and media, the organization continues to set the standard for excellence on and off the field.

Essential Functions



  • Lead high-volume outreach efforts targeting prospective clients to build pipelines, foster relationships, and drive measurable growth. Identify and cultivates brands/marketing executives within targeted accounts who make event marketing and media decisions.
  • Create, package, and present marketable sponsorship platforms that maximize revenue opportunities across LA Galaxy and Dignity Health Sports Park
  • Work cross-functionally and cross-collaboratively with various internal departments and teams to research, conceptualize, and evaluate innovative partnership opportunities that adhere to industry trends, and drive engagement and value, including branded content, experiential marketing, in-stadium activations, and digital/social platforms.
  • Develop compelling sales narratives, decks, and presentation materials that illustrate the benefits of sponsorship assets to potential brand partners.
  • Present business updates, new opportunities and industry-driven initiatives to the management team and sales leaders as required.
  • Share revenue/profit building ideas and opportunities with other corporate teams and sales leaders and sale teams as required.
  • Create sales plans which are scalable for local, regional and national programs.
  • Support the development of complex-targeting sponsorship plans to address clients' strategic objectives and meet the Company's needs.
  • Host prospective clients during all LA Galaxy home games and other AEG events as needed.


Required Qualifications



  • BA/BS Degree (4-year)
  • 6-8 years related sales experience
  • Experience working with professional team- and venue-based sponsorships
  • Experience in sponsorship sales in a global role is a plus
  • Deep understanding of the advertising industry
  • Exemplary problem solving, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to synergize the efforts of individuals and teams from multiple AEG business units to accomplish the goals of the company
  • Expertise in identifying opportunities and developing strategies and negotiating creative solutions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn required business system
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM Platform preferred
  • Proven track record in building successful partnerships as well as consistently securing investments with FORTUNE 500 organizations
  • Must have a high degree of poise and professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and creativity
  • Deep understanding of the advertising industry
  • Ability to synergize the efforts of individuals and teams from multiple AEG business units to accomplish the goals of the company


Pay Scale: $160,000.00 - $170,000.00

Bonus:This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
