Responsible for putting a roll of borders (mattress sidewall cloth) on a spindle for a cutting machine. The rolls are 25-50 pounds. Handles are loaded to feed shuts at the top of the machine. The operator enters the product number on a touch screen and the machine will attach handles and cuts the border to length. The operator will then sew the border closed and move to a storage cart.

• Continuous walking short distances within the workstation.

• Frequent repetitive use of hands/arms while loading the machine, entering product numbers, and operating the sewing machine.

• Occasional bending over while moving border roles.

• Occasional overhead reaching while loading machine with components.

• Occasional pushing and pulling of rolls and borders.

• Occasional repetitive use of one foot to operate the sewing machine.

• Occasional grasping of border edges, paperwork, and scissors while closing the border.

• Occasional lifting and carrying of border rolls weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Occasional fine manipulation required to adjust the machine.
