Acute Care TechnologyIndividual mechanical engineering contributor for mechanical design projects. Reports to the Mechanical Engineering Manager. Requires creativity in developing design solutions. The position is for entry level up to 5 years of experience. Works with regular supervision and reports progress on assigned initiatives. Presents designs and documentation for review and release.Essential Functions

Mechanical Design of new and existing products.

Create detailed mechanical design documentation including part drawings, assembly documents, Bill of Materials and purchasing specifications.

Create Engineering Change Orders to enable control and release of designs

Present new designs to suppliers for obtaining samples and prototypes.

Conduct part verification and system validation of new designs complete with supporting documentation.

Write test protocols and conduct testing of new and existing designs with established methods for Verification and Validation.

Establish design concurrence with Operations and Quality groups to and ensure timely release of robust, cost effective and high-quality designs.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

BSME from an ABET certified college required or

Equivalent experience Evidence of SolidWorks training or experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Working knowledge of SolidWorks for part and drawing creation

Familiarity with molded plastic parts, sheet metal, gaskets, PCBs, LCDs, cables and labels

Job Summary

The annual salary for this position is:

$68,000.00 to $85,000.00

This position is eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the company's bonus plan. Factors which may affect starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
