NATURE AND SCOPE


The Data Governance Analyst Sr is a key role within the IT Department at Landmark Credit Union, responsible for administering and advancing the organization's Data Governance Program. This position ensures that data assets are effectively managed, protected, and leveraged to support business operations and strategic decision-making. The role also supports regulatory compliance and leads initiatives related to data quality, privacy, security, and governance standards across the organization. This position reports to the Director, Data Analytics.


REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years professional experience, or at least 7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or similar roles within financial services. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
2. Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality principles, and regulatory compliance requirements.
3. Experience working with data management tools, metadata repositories, and data lineage solutions.
4. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
5. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
6. Relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, DAMA, CIPP) are a plus.
7. Must have a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must understand and comply with all job-related State and Federal laws and regulations.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABLITIES
1. Administer a comprehensive data governance framework and policies to ensure data integrity, quality, and security.
2. Lead data governance committees and working groups, fostering collaboration between business units, I.T., risk, and compliance team.
3. Monitor data stewardship activities, roles, and metadata management processes.
4. Partner with risk and compliance teams to ensure data practices align with regulatory requirements (e.g., GLBA, FFIEC, NCUA, etc.).
5. Oversee data quality metrics, scorecards, and reporting mechanisms.
6. Provide guidance and training to staff on data governance best practices and policies.
7. Identify and resolve data-related issues, including data ownership, classification, and access controls.
8. Support data-driven decision-making and analytics initiatives by ensuring trustworthy and accessible data.
9. Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies related to data governance.
10. Perform other duties as assigned
