Overview
The SVP of Inventory Finance will lead and grow the bank's floorplan and rental fleet financing business. The SVP of Inventory Finance will have full P&L responsibility and will oversee strategy, risk management, sales growth, credit quality, operational excellence, and client experience for distributors of manufacturers in forklift, construction, agriculture, golf car, and transportation equipment sectors. This role requires a seasoned leader with deep inventory finance expertise, strong credit and operational acumen, and the ability to scale a high-performing, risk-disciplined platform across multiple verticals.
Responsibilities
- Sales and Business Development - Leads national sales efforts focused on manufacturers, distributors, and deal networks. Builds strong OEM and distributor relationships to expend floorplan and rental fleet programs. Establishes sales standards, pipeline management, performance metrics, and accountability. Drives cross-sell opportunities with other bank products and services. Establishes KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to track growth, risk, service, and financial performance.
- Managerial Functions - Establishes expectations to lead and/or exceed company and department goals. Makes appropriate changes to team policies, procedures, and efficiencies to meet and exceed objectives. Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff.
- Strategic Leadership & Growth - Role expected to develop and execute a multi-year growth strategy to scale the inventory finance portfolio to $3B. Build and manage manufacturer and dealer/distributor programs across targeted equipment verticals. Identify and develop new product offerings, pricing structures, and program innovations. Partner with senior leadership to align inventory finance growth with broader EF and bank strategies.
- Credit and Risk Management - Oversees credit policy, underwriting standards, portfolio quality, and risk appetite. Ensures discipline risk management, regulatory compliance, and strong audit outcomes. Monitors portfolio performance, trends, concentrations, and stress scenarios. Leads credit committees and portfolio reviews.
- Operations and Execution - Oversees end-to-end operations including onboarding, funding, servicing, inventory checks, collections, and portfolio management. Drives operational efficiency, scalability, automation, and best-in-class client experience. Implement systems, workflows, and controls that support growth while maintaining strong risk discipline.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Equipment Finance, Inventory Finance, and/or Commercial Lending. Leadership experience managing large teams. OR High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Equipment Finance, Inventory Finance, and/or Commercial Lending. Leadership experience managing large teams. Preferred Area of Experience:
- Floorplan financing, rental fleet financing, dealer/distributor finance models, and/or OEM programs
- Proven leadership experience managing large, multi-functional teams.
- Deep knowledge of floorplan financing, rental fleet financing, dealer/distributor finance models, and OEM programs.
- Strong understanding of credit risk, portfolio management, regulatory compliance, and operational controls.
- Ability to scale businesses, design operating models, and implement systems.
- Established OEM and distributor relationships preferred
