A world-renowned automotive manufacturing organization is seeking a Human Resources Administrator to support attendance management, employee relations processes, and workforce compliance within a fast-paced union manufacturing environment.

In this role, you will play an essential part in administering attendance programs, managing employee leave documentation, supporting labor relations, and ensuring policies such as FMLA and medical leave are applied accurately. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented HR professional who thrives in data-driven environments and enjoys collaborating with leadership, employees, and union representatives.

Hours and Pay



  • Pay Rate: $23.67 per hour
  • Primarily onsite role
  • Must be available to work afternoon shift hours and weekend shifts as needed

Daily Responsibilities



  • Administer the National Attendance Program, FMLA, medical leave of absence, and tardiness programs in accordance with company policy and collective bargaining agreements
  • Develop strong working knowledge of contract language related to attendance and discipline procedures
  • Investigate employee attendance records using internal HR and workforce management systems
  • Generate and distribute daily attendance reports and progress updates
  • Conduct daily attendance meetings with employees and union representatives
  • Issue and document corrective discipline in alignment with company policy
  • Update and correct employee attendance records and timekeeping data
  • Input and maintain coding for personal days, bereavement leave, jury duty, FMLA, and medical leave of absence
  • Follow up with line management to resolve attendance and tardiness issues
  • Audit attendance coding and timekeeping records for accuracy and compliance
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for line management regarding attendance policy interpretation
  • Maintain all documentation required for FMLA administration and regulatory compliance
  • Act as liaison between line management, the medical department, and labor relations
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline attendance processes
  • Build collaborative relationships with management, union representatives, and labor relations teams



Requirements



  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment or human resources role
  • Strong computer proficiency with the ability to quickly analyze and manipulate workforce data
  • Ability to present attendance data clearly and concisely in reports and meetings
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced HR environment
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with leadership and union representation
