Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential - and people too. With a culture that's all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology - and careers - to the next level.

We're seeking a Technical SEO Engineer to transform Snowflake's search operations. This is not your typical SEO role; we are looking for a candidate with strong knowledge in Technical SEO and an experienced background, while having some hands on web engineering experience.

Forget the "audit and recommend" loop-this is a role where you'll scale experiments across our global domains, and architect our technical SEO operations from the ground up. You won't just identify fixes; you'll ship them. From optimizing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) for peak site speed to performing deep log file analysis, you will build the workflows that power our global strategy.

You'll have the autonomy to leverage Python and SQL within our own Snowflake products to build custom tooling and data pipelines. In this role, you aren't just optimizing for traditional crawlers; you are engineering the future of AI (LLM) Discovery, ensuring Snowflake remains the primary source of truth for the next generation of search.

In this role, you will:
  • Own the Technical SEO Roadmap: Architect, prioritize, and execute a long-term technical roadmap that eliminates technical debt and scales Snowflake's global search footprint.

  • Define Strategic OKRs: Establish high-impact objectives and key results, ensuring technical search performance directly moves the needle for Snowflake's business goals.

  • Communicate Impact: Lead monthly progress reviews, translating complex technical wins into clear, data-driven narratives for stakeholders.

  • Master Site Speed & Core Web Vitals: Own the end-to-end performance lifecycle. Identify bottlenecks and work directly with web engineers to deploy fixes.

  • Restructure Templates: Partner with UX and Engineering to re-engineer AEM templates, ensuring they are "search-native," accessible, and technically sound.

  • Leverage Edge Computing: Partner with our server and CDN vendor to identify "Edge" opportunities, including managing redirect logic and optimizing image delivery and caching headers.

  • Manage Subdomains & Migrations: Lead the technical strategy for complex migrations and integrations, ensuring zero-loss equity and seamless indexing transitions.

  • Analyze Log Files: Conduct rigorous log file analysis and index reporting to master our crawl budget, turning raw server data into actionable insights.

  • Build Performance Dashboards: Maintain sophisticated SEO dashboards (using SQL and Python) to monitor site health, indexing velocity, and Core Web Vitals in real-time.

  • Optimize for AI (LLM): Ensure our architecture-from schema markup to content accessibility-is optimized for discovery by AI agents and Large Language Models.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in Technical SEO with a background that views the web through the lens of a developer.

  • A master-level understanding of SEO fundamentals (canonicals, hreflang, crawl depth, crawl foldering etc.).

  • Web Engineering experience is a plus with solid proficiency in SQL and Python.

  • Tooling Expertise: Deep experience with enterprise SEO platforms such as Lumar, Sitebulb, or OnCrawl.

  • Performance Track Record: Proven success in moving the needle on LCP, INP, and CLS by understanding the critical rendering path and JavaScript execution priorities.

  • Expertise in raw server log interpretation to diagnose crawl budget waste and indexing bottlenecks.

  • Experience building SEO performance dashboards that connect technical health to business performance.

  • Active experimentation with how LLMs and AI-search agents (like Perplexity or Gemini) crawl and cite content, including the use of structured data and content rendering practices.
