Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Summer Intern to join our CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls) and Clinical Supply Team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in pharmaceutical development and supply chain operations supporting clinical programs. The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams involved in drug product manufacturing, labeling, packaging, and clinical supply operations. The primary objective of this role is to evaluate operational performance across several drug products and help identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance supply reliability for clinical studies. This position is ideal for students interested in careers in pharmaceutical development, manufacturing sciences, or technical operations.

The intern, in collaboration with SKLSI team members, will develop goals at the beginning of the internship. The intern will take on an active support role and should be comfortable asking questions and taking initiative in order to best enhance their contributions to SKLSI and their own educational experience. Assignment of responsibilities will be commensurate with demonstrated abilities, and, where possible, will be aligned with the intern's goals. This is a paid internship located at the Paramus, NJ facility.



Responsibilities

    Evaluate operational performance of drug product manufacturing, labeling, and packaging activities for multiple clinical-stage products.
  • Analyze process workflows and operational data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and operational streamlining.
  • Assist in developing process maps, performance metrics, and dashboards for CMC and Clinical Supply operations.
  • Support cross-functional coordination with internal teams and external manufacturing partners.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, process improvement initiatives, and operational reports.
  • Assist with tracking timelines and deliverables related to clinical supply manufacturing campaigns.
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership at the conclusion of the internship.
  • Respond to requests from leadership to support various projects and initiatives that may arise.
  • Maintain clear communication with colleagues and Department Head.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed


Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in:
  • Chemical Engineering (preferred)
  • Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Chemistry or related engineering/science discipline
  • Entering Junior or Senior year in Fall 2026.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to organize and analyze operational or technical data.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and basic data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills.
  • Prior work experience in Pharmaceutical industry is not required, but must be proficient in general computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organized with strong focus on accuracy
  • Quick learner with determination to accomplish assignments within the established timeline
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities based on business needs
  • Fluency in English Language
