DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This internship offers a diverse range of administrative support activities, such as familiarizing yourself with PennDOT's mission, structure, and core functions through program orientation. You will assist with projects and special assignments that involve research, analysis, and data collection. Additionally, you will engage in team meetings to help achieve program objectives and share your insights. This experience will allow you to develop essential skills in time management, communication, and problem-solving while applying your academic knowledge to practical situations. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- The internship will occur between May 2026, and August 2026, with flexible start and end dates.
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled or intending to enroll FULL-TIME or PART-TIME in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree, or advanced program for the fall semester.
- Must be a Pennsylvania resident or currently enrolled at a Pennsylvania college or university.
- In good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be currently enrolled or intending to enroll full-time or part-time in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree, or advanced degree, bachelor's degree, or advanced program for the fall semester:
- Business Administration
- Business Management
- Human Resources
- Public Administration
- Communications
- Office Management
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
