Salary: Starts at $20/hour with increase to $26.02 after successful completion of 120-day probationary period.

Focus: The Warehouse Operator is responsible for operating fuel burning or electric forklift or 21/2 ton dump truck to receive, issue, store, handle or transport scrap and salvage for all on-plant locations.

Warehouse Operator Essential Job Functions:

• Unloading trucks and trailers of scrap materials from various plant locations.
• Operating fuel and electric forklifts in addition to squeegee.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to complete forklift training, obtain Government operator's license to operate vehicles up to and including 2 1/2 tons.
• Prior full-time work experience preferred; manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
• Attention to detail including eye-hand coordination.
• Must have full vision, including color vision.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, ability to work in environments with extreme temperatures and/or contain dangerous/hazardous materials with appropriate safety precautions and gear, lift/carry up to 50 pounds, and push up to 50 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work Weekends, including overtime.

Location-Specific Requirements:

• This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
• This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
• This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. The US Government does not allow non-US citizens on-site at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. Therefore, to be considered in the hiring process, the candidate must be a US citizen.
