Overview
This is a part-time 17.5 hours per week benefits eligible role. Tufts University Advancement (UA) is a comprehensive development and alumni engagement enterprise with a staff complement of approximately 200 full time employees. UA is dedicated to advancing the mission of Tufts University and supporting higher education through the fostering of relationships that result in goodwill and financial support. The philanthropic generosity of individuals, organizations, and foundations has been a key element in Tufts' rise to become one of the nation's premier institutions of higher education. The Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University is the only graduate school of nutrition in the U.S. The school educates tomorrow's leaders and affects change today. Courses are taught by highly collaborative faculty who work with students to take the full view of our global food system. The study of nutrition is not only about the science of nutrients in food, but also about chronic disease prevention, fair labor practices, economics, politics, climate change, data analytics, epidemiology, and food systems modeling, among other topics. The Office of Development and Alumni Engagement for the Friedman School seeks to develop and maintain substantive relationships with alumni, students, faculty, corporations, parents, and friends to raise the significant philanthropic funds required to meet the school's endowment, capital, and annual giving goals. What You'll Do Under moderate supervision, the Part-Time Staff Assistant provides administrative and communications support for the Office of Development and Alumni Engagement for the Friedman School of Nutrition, interacting with internal and external constituents to ensure the effective coordination of activities, projects, and programs. Pay Range Minimum $22.50, Midpoint $26.80, Maximum $31.10 Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range. | |
