Position Title: HR Administrative Assistant/Receptionist

This is an associate to hire role in Centerville, IA. HR Administrative Assistant/Receptionist Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Serve as the first point of contact for outside guests, agencies, and vendors - Manage front desk phone calls and walk-in inquiries as needed - Order office supplies, equipment, and company merchandise - Act as a trusted employee advocate for front-line employees - Provide customer service to employees regarding timekeeping, benefits, employment verifications, company events, and internal job opportunities - Administer all employment changes within the HRIS system - Assist with new hire onboarding - Ensure pre-employment screenings are completed - Fully onboard candidates in the HRIS prior to start dates - Enter new hire data into timekeeping and payroll systems - Schedule and/or conduct new hire orientations - Support recruiting efforts and post internal/external job opportunities electronically and on job boards - Assist supervisors and managers with weekly timekeeping edits - Support administration of company reward and recognition programs - Provide monthly analytical and reporting data to HR leadership - Maintain personnel files and HR databases - Pick up and distribute department mail as needed HR Administrative Assistant/Receptionist Requirements: - High school diploma or GED - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Preferred at least 1 year of Human Resources experience - Preferred basic knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, EEO, ADA, etc.) - Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday - Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally - Frequent use of hands for typing, filing, and operating standard office equipment - Ability to bend, reach, and stoop as needed to retrieve files or supplies - Ability to work in an office environment with standard business equipment fairfield@qpsemployment.com IND069 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
