Job Summary Under general supervision, plans, directs, and coordinates the 340B Drug Pricing Program for all Monument Health entities, maximizing program participation while maintaining full compliance with program rules. Collaborates with Finance, Legal, Compliance, Government Affairs, and Senior Leadership within Monument Health to integrate a comprehensive 340B program at all qualifying entities. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; communication throughout Monument Health. - Recommends, develops, implements, and maintains policies and procedures for 340B operations and ensures processes allow for the most compliant and efficient use of staff and resources. In conjunction with compliance staff, ensures appropriate documentation, implementation, and compliance with laws, regulations and 340B standards.
- Develops and routinely monitors monthly and annual reports on 340B operations which clearly documents utilization, savings, problem areas, and exceptions or discrepancies to be passed to pharmacy leadership and administration.
- Participates in setting department goals and objectives within the framework of the organization's key initiatives, evaluates effectiveness, and implements changes to achieve desired outcomes. Develops action plans to meet established objectives and monitors progress.
- Assists with budget planning process including operating and capital budgets. Participates in the analysis and interpretation of 340B pricing trends and the economic impact of new legislation that may impact forecasts of future drug expenditures and savings. Collaborates with the finance department to monitor changes that could affect 340B program qualifications, such as changes in the points of service position on the cost report, any changes in institutional ownership or related joint ventures and any variations or negative trends in DSH percentages.
- Composes written communications, proposals, reports, policies, and agendas based on information relayed verbally. Assists in day to day activities; assists in establishing priorities and maintains records of decisions made and/or actions taken. Maintains regular communication with other hospital departments or units to ensure efficient processing of work, obtains and relays information, and resolves problems.
- Reviews and monitors all points of service where 340B Drug Pricing Program participation occurs to ensure policies and procedures are followed accordingly and is responsible to be the institutional program expert with regard to plan qualifications, policies, and procedures.
- Routinely monitors all areas of 340B use and works to ensure maximum participation regarding the effective use of 340B priced products. Routinely monitors utilization records and 340B purchasing accounts to ensure software or tools are working properly and accurately, performing audits and both internal and external assessments to validate processes.
- Monitors outpatient points of service to continually look for additional qualified areas where 340B may be used, including potential creative services, such as employee prescriptions, disease management approaches that might qualify for coverage as "covered patients."
- Participates with prime vendor and routinely reviews 340B formulary pricing, potential alternatives, and possible additional savings as a result of GPO formulary.
- Works directly with manufacturers as well as through GPO and peer professional relationships to identify companies that offer 340B, Patient Assistance Program or equivalent pricing and develop strategies to maximize such participation.
- Works with 340B software vendor, along with IT and other hospital/clinic departments, to implement feeds from all 340B-eligible locations.

Additional Requirements Required: Education - Bachelors degree in Related Field
Preferred: Experience - 3+ years of Healthcare Experience; 3+ years of Pharmaceutical Experience
Physical Requirements:
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
