Job Summary

Drives projects throughout the organization including both clinical and non-clinical areas to accomplish measurable quality improvement. Work assignments are typically more complex involving multi-disciplinary teams. Analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing processes and drives sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable quality improvement. Collects and analyzes process and/or quality data to initiate, develop, and influence operational practices and procedures that focus on enhanced quality outcomes. Facilitates large improvement projects in coordination with leaders and providers to drive continuous improvement. Flexible in adapting to changing priorities. Mentors colleagues in improvement science application across the organization. Drives strategic quality goal setting to influence strategic priorities.

Essential Functions
  • Support and drive improvement activities for assigned areas based on organizational priorities, including project management, measurable deliverables, milestone tracking, and datainformed strategy.
  • Serve as a liaison across departments within the Corewell Health System, communicating, collaborating, and acting as a change agent to key stakeholders. Ensure continuity, coordination of services, and effective use of resources.
  • Lead continuous assessment and process improvement using appropriate tools and methodologies. Partner with stakeholders and process owners to identify, prioritize, and advance improvement opportunities.
  • Apply improvement sciences to enhance quality performance in regulatory, accreditation, and publicly reported programs.
  • Analyze, interpret, and communicate benchmarked quality data and trends to identify opportunities and support improved outcomes.
  • Mentor team members and share quality improvement knowledge, tools, and best practices across the organization.
  • Drive strategic quality goal setting, aligning work to organizational priorities and longterm quality objectives.
  • Support accreditation and regulatory compliance, including Total Joint Commission (TJC) qualityrelated requirements.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a Healthcare related field
  • 5 years of Quality Improvement, Performance Improvement, Project Management or related field

Preferred

  • Master's Degree in a Healthcare related field
  • 2 years of experience with participation on improvement initiatives
  • At least one Certification from preferred list - Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), IHI Open School
  • IHI Improvement Coach Program
  • Professional in Healthcare Quality, Certified (CPHQ) - NAHQ National Association for Healthcare Quality Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
