Role Summary:
The Principal Enterprise Architect, Digital Solutions is a senior leader responsible for defining and advancing the enterprise digital architecture strategy that enables scalable, secure, and innovative digital solutions for US Oncology Practices. This role partners closely with executive leaders, business stakeholders, clinical teams, and technology teams to translate Practice strategy into cohesive architectural direction.

Key Role Success Metrics:

• Unified enterprise architecture blueprint established and regularly updated as needed.

• Multi-year digital roadmap delivered and socialized, with regular updates as needed.

• Architecture governance adopted across teams.

• Modernization and interoperability improvements realized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and evolve the enterprise digital architecture vision, principles, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.

• Provide architectural leadership for major digital initiatives, platform strategies, and transformation programs.

• Advise executives and senior leaders on technology trends, risks, and long-term architectural implications.

• Ensure digital solutions are secure, scalable, interoperable, and compliant with enterprise and regulatory standards.

• Establish and maintain reference architectures, patterns, and governance.

• Influence and mentor architects and technical leaders through thought leadership.

Role Characteristics:

• Enterprise-wide scope with significant strategic and technical influence.

• Operates effectively in highly complex and ambiguous environments.

• Combines deep technical expertise with business and strategic acumen.

• Recognized authority for digital architecture and cross-domain design decisions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent and typically requires 13+ years, with 8+ years, of direct work[1]related experience. Less years required if has relevant Master's or Doctorate qualifications.

Critical Experience/Skills:

• Extensive experience in enterprise architecture or engineering leadership roles.

• Expertise in cloud modernization, multi-tenant platforms, and large-scale system design.

• Strong integration architecture background with APIs and interoperability standards.

• Experience with data platforms, semantic layers, analytics, and governed access models.

• Familiarity with clinical systems and oncology digital workflows preferred.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

• Experience in oncology, clinical operations, or life sciences.

• Certifications: TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect.

• Experience applying AI/ML to enterprise digital solutions, defining AI platform standards, and familiarity with cloudnative AI services.

Travel:

• Up to 25% travel.
