McKesson is an impact-driven, Fortune 10 company that touches virtually every aspect of healthcare. We are known for delivering insights, products, and services that make quality care more accessible and affordable. Here, we focus on the health, happiness, and well-being of you and those we serve - we care.

What you do at McKesson matters. We foster a culture where you can grow, make an impact, and are empowered to bring new ideas. Together, we thrive as we shape the future of health for patients, our communities, and our people. If you want to be part of tomorrow's health today, we want to hear from you.

The Business Intelligence Manager role provides operational direction and leadership to a team of business intelligence analysts who maintain analytics dashboards for existing programs and develop views for new programs and services. This position ensures that reporting and analytics solutions meet the needs of internal account management, while exceeding external customer expectations.

We are in the Patient Access side of the business, supporting patient enrollment in various reimbursement and patient assistance programs for high-priced brand name specialty drugs. Specialty drugs are not typically found off the shelf at a retail pharmacy. Patients often are required to get their medication administered at a doctor's office or infusion center, so this includes complex therapies for cancer, HIV, multiple sclerosis, and other rare diseases.

We work directly with the client, account management, and account operations to provide self-serve dashboards and other custom analytics that help them investigate trends and make business decisions. Program design changes frequently with these custom programs, so maintaining a close communication relationship with your program team is very important.

You will be responsible for implementing projects and initiatives that support analytics and insights for various topics related to Access & Adherence. The role will work with minimal direction in a multiple-priority environment while supporting the organizational culture of continuous learning and process improvement. As an integral part of the Insights & Analytics team, duties will include analytic exploration of Reimbursement Hub and Patient Assistance program performance and communicating the implications of observations made during analytic discovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight, training, project implementation, and work prioritization to a team of data analysts. Effectively monitor and balance the incoming work queue, between internal analysis and client deliverables.

  • Refine vague asks from stakeholders into clear hypotheses, criteria and objectives while keeping the larger picture in mind.

  • Assess data quality throughout multiple databases and coordinate with IT and Data Engineering in the correction of source data or creation of translation sources, where applicable.

  • Apply proper analytic methods and quality checks to ensure high quality team outputs while accounting for the limitations of the data.

  • Continuous learning on researching best practices for business data analysis via published literature, formalized training, and professional development efforts.

  • Use Structured Query Language (SQL) to gather and assess data from the reporting database, transactional database, operational data store, and external systems to assist internal and external decision making.

  • Authenticate and interpret data using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining.
