Peri-operative Team Assistant is responsible for assisting various team members of the Operating Room in their daily activities involving provision of safe patient care and effective functioning of the Operating Room.

I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Monitors air quality: checks, records and reports air quality parameters.
2. Management of surgical specimen: logs and transports surgical specimen.
3. Equipment management: preparing, cleaning and transporting basic room equipment and surgical devices.
4. Cleaning activities: performs basic, turnover and terminal cleaning of the OR areas; disposes sharp, pharmacy and biohazard materials.
5. Supply management: maintains level of surgical scrubs, linens, disinfecting solutions and irrigation solutions; puts away surgical inventory.
6. Patient transferring: assists OR staff during patient transfers.

License/Certification/Education:

1. High School education.

Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Basic knowledge of patient care and basic medical equipment.
2. Interpersonal skills andhigh organizational skills.
