Job Description

Job Profile Summary

The Clinical Coordinator of the Oncology-Rehabilitation Program ("Oncology-Rehabilitation Coordinator") is a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Physical Therapist (PT) with specialized training in Oncology-Rehabilitation. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care and will help to coordinate services across the organization.

Reporting to the Director of Rehabilitation Services, the Oncology-Rehabilitation Coordinator provides direct patient care with an emphasis on evidence-based, patient-centered outcomes in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, working closely with breast surgeons, oncology physicians, and the broader care team.

This role serves as a clinical leader and subject matter expert, ensuring best practice standards are met, regulatory requirements are satisfied, and program growth and sustainability are supported through training, mentorship, and outreach initiatives. Performs additional responsibilities as assigned to advance departmental goals, align with organizational priorities, and promote patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct Patient Care: Provide care for oncology patients, ensuring evidence-based, patient-centered outcomes.
  • Program Support: Serve as subject matter expert for Oncology-Rehabilitation and assist in the development of an internal training program, mentoring other clinicians and helping to support the growth of the Oncology-Rehabilitation program.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with breast surgeons, oncology physicians, radiologists, and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated care.
  • Regulatory & Quality Standards: Ensure compliance, participate in surveys and audits, and help track patient outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Community Engagement: Conduct outreach, education, and marketing to promote program awareness and increase referrals.
  • Complete Additional Duties as Assigned

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience providing direct patient care in the area of Oncology-Rehabilitation.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills for interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Experience with patient or student education, community outreach, and/or marketing initiatives.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current on best practices.
  • Flexible and open-minded to change, including willingness to try new approaches and consider different perspectives.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

  • Current valid California Physical or Occupational Therapy license
  • Current Basic Lifesaving Certification (BLS - American Heart Association) for Healthcare Provider
  • Valid California driver's license and proof of automobile insurance
  • Advanced certification in Oncology Rehabilitation through PORi (Physiological Oncology Rehabilitation Institute) or obtain PORi certification within 12-18 months of hire (dependent on course availability).
  • Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) or obtain CLT designation within 12-18 months of hire (dependent on course availability).
  • Additional board certifications or specializations in the areas of orthopedics and/or pelvic health a plus.

Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, adult and geriatric populations are served by Rehabilitation Service

Salary Range:

$63.65 - $95.48 USD Hour
