As a Security Officer - Mall Foot Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist guests and store teams with clear communication, access control, and incident reporting while using a computer or tablet. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and/or mall location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior retail areas, common spaces, loading areas, and exterior perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, corridors, and high-traffic areas; assist with wayfinding, store directions, and de-escalation of minor disputes in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations, including disorderly conduct, lost and found inquiries, medical calls, and/or property damage, and coordinate notifications to site leadership and local responders as required.
• Control access to back-of-house areas when assigned, including checking credentials, directing deliveries, and/or verifying vendor sign-in according to site procedures.
• Observe and report suspected theft activity and/or policy violations, maintain a visible presence, and provide timely information to site leadership and law enforcement when appropriate.
• Operate site communications and technology such as radios, phones, incident reporting tools, and CCTV when assigned, escalating issues based on post orders.
• Complete routine activity logs and incident reports with accurate, detailed information; document patrols, observations, and actions taken during the shift.
• Support Allied Universal and site policies related to customer interaction, appearance standards, and incident documentation while working in varying environments and conditions based on the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
