As an armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to incidents with clear communication and strong customer service. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the government facility, parking areas and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal post orders, applicable laws and licensing requirements.
- Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification, logging visitors and/or issuing temporary credentials as required by site policy.
- Monitor radio traffic, alarms, cameras and/or other systems and report suspicious or unusual activity through the appropriate channels.
- Write clear, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, patrol findings and/or policy violations and submit documentation per site requirements.
- Support local public sector personnel and/or emergency responders by providing directions, relaying information and assisting with scene control when requested.
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols to help to deter unauthorized access, vandalism and/or other prohibited activity on the property.
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct while carrying assigned equipment, following use of force guidelines and escalation protocols as directed by post orders.
Minimum Requirements: - - Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- - Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
- - Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
- - Possess a Corrections Officer license.
- - Possess a Law Enforcement Officer license.
- - Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- - Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
