As a Security Officer - Flex Logistics Patrol in Pearl, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access points while delivering outstanding customer service. You will communicate clearly with associates, document activities, and respond to concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, disturbances, and fire or alarm activations, while following post orders and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouses, yards, dock areas, trailer lines, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and to identify potential hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and gate areas as assigned, verifying credentials, directing traffic flow, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site requirements.
  • Perform security-related checks of doors, bays, and restricted areas, reporting irregularities such as forced entry indicators, unsecured access points, or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor and operate site surveillance and communication systems as assigned, including radios, cameras, and alarm panels, and report unusual activity through the appropriate channels.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoffs, including observations from patrols, access activity, and any security-related or operational concerns.
  • Assist with emergency and evacuation procedures as directed, including contacting emergency services, guiding responders to incident locations, and supporting accountability processes.
  • Provide clear directions and information to drivers and visitors regarding site rules, parking, and check-in and/or check-out processes, while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support loss prevention awareness by observing for unusual package, vehicle, or trailer activity and promptly reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance and adhere to Allied Universal standards while working varying indoor and outdoor conditions, including nights, weekends, and high-traffic periods.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
  • Lift More Than 20 lbs - preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
