As a Security Officer - Mall Front Desk in Palm Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer in a retail and mall location, you will welcome guests, manage access, answer questions, and monitor cameras and alarms to help identify security-related concerns. You will document incidents, coordinate with site teams, and provide calm, professional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and vendors at a retail location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk in a professional manner, greeting and directing guests, answering general questions, and assisting with wayfinding as needed.
• Support guest and employee access by monitoring entry points, issuing visitor credentials per site policy, and maintaining sign-in and sign-out documentation.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, intercoms, and other front desk systems as assigned, and report unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when required.
• Document incidents, observations, and service requests in daily activity logs and incident reports, and communicate updates during shift transitions.
• Help to deter theft, disorderly conduct, and other policy violations by maintaining a visible presence at the front desk and reinforcing posted rules when appropriate.
• Coordinate with store management, mall operations, and/or maintenance to route concerns such as lost and found, customer disputes, and facility issues to the appropriate resources.
• Provide directions and assistance during special events, peak traffic periods, and store promotions, helping to maintain orderly entry and lobby flow.
• Follow Allied Universal policies and site-specific guidelines, including confidentiality requirements and customer service expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
