You will assist staff and visitors with clear communication and courteous customer service, document observations, and respond to concerns as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to location staff, patients, visitors, and/or contractors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior by monitoring entrances, public areas, and restricted areas in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, alarms, and/or requests for assistance.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Complete routine security-related inspections and report hazards, damaged property, malfunctioning doors, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Control access by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in procedures, and/or directing individuals to the proper department in accordance with site policy.
  • Write detailed incident reports and shift activity logs, including observations, actions taken, and notifications made.
  • Coordinate with Allied Universal supervision and location leadership and/or local public agencies as directed during emergencies and planned events.
  • Operate security-related equipment such as radios, access control systems, and/or video monitoring systems as assigned by site procedures.
  • Assist with crowd control and traffic direction during peak visiting hours, special events, and/or emergency situations as directed by post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccines are required for hospital sites.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
