Job Description




As a Security Officer in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control and incident reporting. You will be a welcoming point of contact for tenants and visitors, delivering clear communication and customer service while living Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes and requesting assistance from Allied Universal leadership and/or local emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, restrooms, parking areas, loading areas, and the building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access as directed by post orders by checking identification, verifying access authorization, and directing visitors, vendors, and contractors to appropriate destinations.
  • Monitor and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns, and communicate findings promptly to property management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Operate site equipment and systems as assigned, which may include radios, mobile devices, incident reporting tools, and alarm and/or access control panels.
  • Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes with accurate, timely, and detailed information.
  • Assist with building opening and/or closing procedures, including checking doors, gates, and common areas for irregularities.
  • Support tenant and visitor needs with directions, general information, and professional assistance while maintaining a courteous and responsive presence.
  • Maintain a consistent presence at designated posts and during patrols, adapting to varying working environments and conditions based on site needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
