As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a highly visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service, and document observations in a timely way. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical emergencies, missing persons, and access concerns, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout interior areas such as entrances, corridors, lobbies, waiting rooms, and stairwells and/or exterior areas such as parking areas and building perimeters.
- Help to maintain order in high-traffic areas by providing directions, assisting with wayfinding, and supporting staff with visitor management and crowd control as needed.
- Monitor access points by observing incoming and outgoing traffic, checking credentials when required, and reporting suspicious activity and/or policy violations to site leadership.
- Complete routine security-related inspections to identify hazards, unsecured doors, propped entrances, and other unusual conditions, and report findings through the established chain of command.
- Document patrol activity, incidents, and unusual occurrences in logs and written reports, including use of incident reporting systems as required.
- Operate site communication tools such as radios and phones to coordinate response activities and relay accurate information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
- Support emergency procedures by assisting with response to fire alarms, severe weather, evacuation needs, and other facility alerts, following site-specific instructions.
- Provide escorts for staff, patients, and/or visitors when requested, including to parking areas and between departments, consistent with post orders and facility guidelines.
- Observe and report potential theft, unauthorized access, and/or property damage, helping to deter loss through visible presence and timely reporting.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare staff, local responders when requested, and Allied Universal supervision to help maintain a professional environment and prompt response to security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements: - CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
