As a Security Officer - Flex Reception Post in Earth City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location as a Front Desk officer, greeting employees and visitors while managing access control, badges, and visitor logs. You will monitor activity from the lobby, document security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams to help identify and/or help deter concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a front desk reception area.
  • Greet and screen visitors, issue temporary credentials, and manage sign-in and sign-out processes in accordance with site requirements.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification, and coordinate with authorized contacts for visitor approvals and/or deliveries.
  • Answer telephones, route calls, and relay messages while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a positive lobby experience.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other building systems from the front desk, and report irregular activity according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management as needed.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, and maintain accurate logs for visitors, keys, packages, and other controlled items.
  • Support emergency procedures such as fire alarms, medical events, and evacuations by following site instructions and communicating updates to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • The client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be 21 years of age and older.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
