Security Officer - Retail Plaza Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Retail Plaza Patrol Driver in Reynoldsburg, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support store teams and guests with courteous communication, document observations, and respond to concerns with professionalism and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under the AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site management and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including storefront areas, corridors, entrances and exits, back-of-house receiving areas, and the exterior perimeter as assigned.
• Help to deter theft, loitering, and/or other unwanted activity by maintaining a professional presence and observing customer and employee activity.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity, property conditions, and/or maintenance hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Provide access control support by observing entrances, monitoring deliveries and vendor activity, and directing visitors according to site procedures.
• Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
• Assist with customer and employee concerns such as lost and found inquiries, directions, and incident documentation while maintaining a courteous, service-focused approach.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
