Sigma Defense is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex IT Communications initiatives within a government contracting environment. This role will serve as the primary bridge between technical engineering teams and government stakeholders, ensuring that mission-critical communication systems are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with federal security standards. The hired candidate will be experienced with working in Secure facilities and have a keen understanding of ICD705 and related requirements. - At least 10-15 years of experience in DoD Network Engineering.
- 8-10 years of experience in advising DoD communications projects.
- Ability to translate highly technical engineering concepts into executive-level briefings for government stakeholders.
- Expert in using project management tools to track milestones, manage budgets, and mitigate risks in a contract-driven environment.
- Capable of leading cross-functional teams including software engineers, systems architects, and cybersecurity specialists.
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of mission-critical communication systems, such as Tactical Data Links, SATCOM, or C5ISR initiatives.
- Comprehensive understanding of federal regulations, including NIST security frameworks and the FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation).
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks to ensure optimum productivity.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with managers, supervisors, peers, and customers.
- Ability to quickly grasp and implement technical concepts.
- An understanding of network security best practices.
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision on assigned tasks.
- Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
Education Requirements:
- At least some college coursework at an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field of study.
Personnel Clearance Level:
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active TS/SCI security clearance or higher.
- Clearance may be sponsored for the right candidate.
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):
- Act as the primary point of contact between SIGMA Defense and government leadership for IT solution delivery.
- Develop and maintain critical project artifacts, including documents and historical trackers.
- Lead specific technical comm infrastructure improvements.
- Direct the full lifecycle of IT communication upgrades, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring.
- Provide dedicated project continuity for the Sigma Defense team embedded within the group.
- Liaison with NSA personnel on the activation and funding of VoIP, dVTC, and sVTC devices.
- Liaison with communications on the creation of network accounts and ensure compliancy standards are maintained.
- Responsible for deploying and tracking sustainment and maintenance Voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephones, Desktop Video Teleconference (dVTC), and Studio Video Teleconference (sVTC) devices.
- Must be able to learn new systems as well when talking about switches and firewalls.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $142,000 annually. Benefits
