Our client is seeking a Contract to Hire Finance Manager to assist in the comprehensive planning and strategic decision making activity across all feature film operations. This position will prepare P&L and Cash Flow forecasts, manage financial models, and partner with finance and operating personnel to deliver analytics.
Key Responsibilities
  • Superviseandassistin preparation ofannual Budgets,Forecasts, Mid-RangePlans
  • Collaborate with various teams, including MPG Business Development,ongreenlight/film model updates,ultimateprofitabilityandby-titleperformance tracking
  • Coordinate with lines of business(Marketing, Distribution, Production, Corporate Finance)andall Theatrical Distribution Labelson product/content(for upcoming 3 years)and cash flowassumptions
  • Run impairment riskson current releases and/or on 3rdparty co-financing deals, as neededfor forecasts; preparerisk analyses andsupplemental schedules forthe accounting groupand external auditors, as requested
  • Overseepreparation of Consolidated3-YearCash Flows andBalance Sheet forecasts; ensure working capital targets are met
  • For theConsolidatedCash Flow forecast, prepare theexecutive-level presentation, including variance analyses
  • Performbox office analysis on new releases, industry comparatives,by-title market analysis,andvariousothermetrics toprovidefinancial guidanceto management
  • Execute regression analysis and other advanced modeling techniques to enhanceforecastingtiming modelsoncertainlyand Cashflows
  • Evaluate Net Present Valueon certain revenue and costitems, includingcontent valuations,obligations,revenue recognition(ASC 606)
  • AssistindraftingSOXcontrols and ensurecompliance with all financial controls; coordinate with GFO and Technical Accounting
  • Assistsliaisonwithtechnical accounting on new deal structures, ensuring models align with IFRS-compliant treatments
  • Approvedivisionultimate'sandthird-party invoices, e.g., with TV or streaming providers, as part offilm model ultimateworkflows
Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree with accounting/finance/economicsfocusrequired
  • CPA and/orMBA/Master's degreestronglypreferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, modeling, and accounting; entertainment/media industry experience strongly preferred
  • 1-2years of managerial experience, including managing, developing, and leading staff
  • Deepexpertiseintechnical modelingandindirect and direct cash flow forecasting, working capital,andbalance sheet analyses
  • Advanced Excel andPowerPoints kills;SAP or similar ERP experience preferred
  • Experience with enterprise planning systems (e.g.SAP BPC, SmartView, etc.) and business intelligence tools (e.g.Power BI, Tableau,others)
  • Knowledge ofIFRSand U.S. GAAPprinciples; SOX compliance experiencerequired

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
