DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be supervising and directing activities of the Health Market Conduct Division, including scheduling staff assignments and providing training. Work involves planning, directing, and supervising various types of Health Insurance market conduct examinations, including complex Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) exams. You will be responsible for identifying specific market issues, potential companies to be examined, as well as necessary information and methodology including required documents, to determine compliance by market oversight review. You will also have the opportunity to represent the Bureau at local and national meetings, presenting information to other states and the U.S. Department of Labor regarding the Department's MHPAEA enforcement activities. Additional responsibilities include:
- Supervising the development and alteration of MHPAEA testing tools
- Developing MHPAEA presentations
- Conducting entrance and exit conferences with examined companies
- Overseeing exam penalty calculations
- Conducting settlement meetings with insurer representatives
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years as an Insurance Market Conduct Examiner 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Five years of professional insurance market conduct examination experience and a bachelor's degree; or
- Five years of professional insurance underwriting or investigation experience and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes four years of professional experience in market conduct examination or insurance underwriting or investigation.
Other Requirements:
