About the Job

Summary of Position

This postdoc will be expected to perform molecular biology and biochemistry research related to engineering specialized metabolite biosynthetic pathways.

Essential Duties
40% molecular biology, gene-editing in streptomyces
40% analytical chemistry to characterize mutants
20% writing and communication

Qualifications

Required:
PhD in Biochemistry, experience engineering streptomyces

Preferred:
Discovered c to g base editing in streptomyces

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $62,232; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 100% Appointment

Position Type: Faculty and P&A Staff
