The Finance team is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager in Portland, OR.

The Accounts Payable Manager plays a key role in keeping DEA's financial operations running smoothly. This role oversees the full accounts payable function, ensuring accurate, timely processing while maintaining strong internal controls and compliance. In addition to managing day-to-day A/P activities, the Accounts Payable Manager leads and mentors the A/P team, partners closely with Accounting and Finance leadership during month- and year-end close and looks for opportunities to improve processes and support the firm's continued growth.

What You'll Do Key Responsibilities:
  • Full cycle accounts payable duties in a team setting
  • Perform and manage vendor maintenance including invoice processing, statement reconciliation, and filing
  • Process and manage employee expense reports for payment, including auditing for adherence to company policies
  • Lead the A/P month end close and year end close and appropriate regulatory filings and assists with the GL month and year end close
  • Supervise A/P staff which includes approving timecards and vacation requests, annual performance reviews, hiring new staff, and mentoring/retaining the A/P team
  • Reconcile various accounts by identifying errors or omissions by applying appropriate accounting standards
  • Prepare, review, and analyze AP Aging and other AP reports
  • Reconciliation of all general ledger accounts.
  • Monthly narrative analysis of significant financial variances to budget and forecast.
  • Work to improve processes within assigned accounting functions
What You Bring Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of accounts payable or GL accounting experience
  • 2+ years of recent experience managing staff
  • Computer knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite including strong Excel skills and 10-key skills, general ledger
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics SL Accounting System
  • Concur Expense and Concur Invoice or other Automated AP invoice and expense software
  • Experience working in the A/E/C industry
